It is meant to be used and interpreted as a symbol for: The flag was released as an anti-capitalist design, and was designed in collaboration with the Black and Indigenous trans and queer community. Feliz is a resource activist, writer, illustrator, and educator with a focus on consistent anti-oppression advocacy. The flag was first released online in the summer of 2018 by its designer, Julia Feliz, a two spirit, AfroTaino (Puerto Rican) artist.
